The Passive (Le Passif)
The Passive is used when something is "done" to someone/something eg. the man was hit / the table will be broken. The verb to be is used and the past participle which in French needs to agree with its subject. In French the construction can be a little clumsy and is often avoided either by using the "on" (one) form or turning the sentence around...below is a full explanation and an exercise.
